Pond Analysis

Let Lake Restoration help you manage your pond by having us create a Pond Analysis designed specifically for your pond.  This analysis will include a water quality analysis, an aquatic plant summary and our recommendations on managing your pond.  If you are serious about pond care, this is the program for you.

Water Quality Analysis

Tracking your Total Phosphorus level will give us good insight into the nutrient levels in your pond.  We can tell you where your pond is right now versus where it should be at.  Excess nutrients can create nuisance algal blooms, increase severity of watermeal and duckweed, poor habitat conditions for fish and just poor water quality in general.  By tracking your water quality we will better be able to assist you in what needs to be done to restore your pond to what you desire, or maintain the great value of your pond by proper monitoring. We have many products that can help reduce the nutrient levels in your pond, improving water clarity and limiting nuisance growth.

Aquatic Plant Summary

As part of this analysis, we will ask you to send us a sample of the different plants in your pond.  Directions on how to do this will be included in the package that we will send you. We will identify each plant for you; tell you what controls each plant and how that plant is related to your water quality.

Recommendations For Managing Your Pond

After analyzing your water quality and identifying the plants found in your pond, we will be able to assist you in what you need to manage your pond.  It may be particular herbicides, nutrient reducing products or a combination of both.

Water Quality Parameters Explained:

Total Phosphorus: Highly recommended for all pond owners. Total Phosphorus (TP) is the most vital nutrient for plant and algae growth.  Ponds with high levels of TP often have frequent algae problems, green water, excess plant growth and duckweed and watermeal issues.
