Hydrothol® Granular is a granular aquatic herbicide and algaecide for lakes and controls nearly all types of lake weeds, including milfoil and hydrilla.

We recommend using Hydrothol® Granular and MuckMaid®. Hydrothol® Granular will control submerged weeds and MuckMaid® will consume nutrients and silt that help aquatic weeds grow.

Hydrothol® Granular should be spread evenly throughout treatment area when plants are present. Most effective when applied on a calm day. When applying Hydrothol® Granular aquatic herbicide, we recommend using a broadcasting spreader.

Hydrothol® provides control where you need it, in the application area, not away from the target area. For this reason, Hydrothol® is a valuable tool in improving access to the water for recreational activities such as swimming, fishing, and water skiing. Hydrothol® is effective in muddy or murky water because it does not bind to the suspended sediment or organic matter. Hydrothol® is also an effective algaecide.

This stuff is AWESOME. I NEVER leave reviews on something unless it is a complete bust or amazing and this is definitely amazing. We have a 15 acre lake on our property in Central Texas and the hydrilla was awful. We used this stuff and it is the first time I could swim off the boat ramp, out to the middle without touch the hydrilla!! Will be buying more next year!

I like the price compared to other brands and it works just as good! Seeing less weeds this year, second year of using it and i will continue to purchase it if price doesn’t go up. I’d like to see if there is something that treats the “crab grass” type of weed, it gets brown but we go in and have to rake it out and the roots are deep! Leaves a big whole when it comes out finally.

First of all, Shipping is outstanding! I ordered on a Sunday and received product on Tuesday. Only 2 days, unheard of. I like the product, works pretty fast, will have to treat one more time pretty soon.

We have used HD granular for 4 years now. While it worked on the weeds the first year or so, now it controls none of them. Probably have eliminated the susceptible weeds and now have the more resistant ones left.

This is my second year using HG and it seems to have a cumulative effect since there we very few weeds this year compared to last. For reference, we're located on Little Pine Lake on the Whitefish Chain in Crosslake, MN
