Use a muck digester with a granular herbicide to control a wide range of aquatic weeds and algae around docks and swimming areas. Hydrothol Granular herbicide is quickly absorbed by the plants, allowing for effective aquatic weed control in small areas of large water bodies. MuckMaid® muck eating pellets digest beach muck, silt, and sludge nutrients that enable aquatic plants to grow.

Hydrothol Granular lake chemicals should be spread evenly throughout treatment area when plants are present. Most effective when applied on a calm day. When applying Hydrothol Granular aquatic herbicide, we recommend using a broadcasting spreader.

I have had no luck with these products. Two applications of each over the last year, and we still have a difficult weed problem and muck about three inches deep. We live on a sand bottom lake with beautiful clear water, so this is quite frustrating. We had to hire a weed removal company to come in with machinery to remove the weeds, yet even with use of these products the weeds come back within a couple of months. Maybe I got a bad batch? Doesnt’t seem to do anything but cost me money.

This is our 2nd year using Hydrothol Granular and we are very happy with the results. We added MuckMaid this year which works well too.

Used a different product for years(Aquacide) and was no longer working. Tried Hydrothol Granular and had GREAT RESULTS. Worked so good I passed info to neighbors to use.

we are in our second season using the Hydrothol Granules and the MuckMaid and have been extremely happy with the results. Our 1/2 acre pond was in rough shape as far as algae, weeds and muck. We started using the products last summer and this year our pond is absolutely beautiful for swimming and fishing. And the amount of product we need to use to maintin is 1/2 of what we started out with. It has become a popular gathering place for family and friends.
