Description

Woody cylindrical stems stand alone with nodes every four to six inches that have blackish rings. These evergreen stems can grow to nine feet tall and one in in diameter. The fruits are in egg shaped cones one half inch to one inch long at the top of some stems and are yellowish to brown in color.
