Control Water Buttercup
Manual/ Mechanical Control:
Physcially raking water buttercup and digging up the roots can be a somewhat effective method of control. Water buttercup can re-grow from seeds or stem fragments that remain in the water.
Herbicide Control:
There are two main options to control water buttercup:
- Dibrox herbicide (for ponds or lakes) – liquid that is diluted with water and sprayed over the plants
- Hydrothol (for lakes) – granules that are broadcast into the area
