Control Water Buttercup

Manual/Mechanical Control:

Physcially raking Water Buttercup and digging up the roots can be a somewhat effective method of control. Water Buttercup can re-grow from seeds or stem fragments that remain in the water.

Herbicide Control:

There are two main options to control Water Buttercup:

  1. Dibrox (for ponds or lakes) – liquid that is diluted with water and sprayed over the plants.
  2. Hydrothol (for lakes) – granules that are broadcast into the area.
