Description

The Chinese water chestnut plant is a rush like plant that has bright green stems 20 inches to six and a half feet tall, growing in groups from the rhizomes.

Flower stalks grow amongst the stems, and the flower has thin white petal like spikes three-fourths of an inch to two inches long.

The tubers are about a quarter inch wide and have been used for human consumption and medicinal purposes.

 

Chinese water chestnut plants grow in marshes.

Location
